The OZ Experience

The OZ Tennis Academy is the inspiration to add variety world wide, starting in Atlanta, Georgia. During the last 15 years as a pro in metro Atlanta, Marcus Hurtig felt very strongly that something was missing from tennis coaching/instruction. His experience was to find authentic professionals that could truly offer instruction at all ages and levels. The big picture came into focus for him after years of teaching and searching for what he wanted to offer the tennis community in Atlanta. He saw a lot of families driving outside of their communities to get competitive tennis instruction and yet it still wasn’t meeting their needs. His goal became clear. He wanted to offer a world class service that would follow him rather than people continuously searching and not finding the exact fit that Marcus and his team can offer.

To add to the quality of the teaching, Marcus and his business partner and his team wanted to provide individual attention to all ages and abilities in a safe and comfortable environment. From the newest and youngest players to the traveling professionals, they wanted students to be challenged, to learn, but to also have fun. They sought to create pro-to-student ratios that still allowed them to focus on various levels of skills and different goals within their classes while maintaining a fun and social setting.
